JUPITER, Fla. – November 3, 2008 – Peter C. Lovelace has been appointed club manager at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club & Spa, Jupiter. He is responsible for managing the golf and social/spa membership programs at the acclaimed, 285-acre private golf course community

Lovelace’s career in the private club industry began in 2004 at the Cosmos Club in Washington, D.C., where after only two years he was promoted from assistant manager to club operations manager for the 103 year-old city club. During that time, he was named a “Rising Star” by the prestigious 2007 Excellence in Club Management Awards.

“Peter’s experience, combined with his abundant energy and enthusiasm will be a great asset to our community,” said David Tyson, general manager, The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club & Spa, Jupiter.

Lovelace was a top graduate of the hospitality and tourism management program at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., and completed summer internships at several prestigious club and resort properties, including The Homestead in Hot Springs, Va.; the Wianno Club in Osterville, Mass.; and the Cosmos Club in Washington, D.C. Notable among his many academic achievements was serving as the founder and first president of the school’s student chapter of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA).

He is currently the director of the CMAA’s National Capital Chapter and serves on the student development committee; Assistant Manager’s 2009 Conference planning committee; and technology committee.
